A MAN was left lying bleeding in the road after he was attacked by a group of men in Watford on Wednesday, October 31.
The man was walking in Harwoods Road at about 8.30pm when a group of Asian men struck the victim over the head with a long solid weapon, possibly a baseball bat or hockey stick.
The man suffered a gash to his head as a result and was left in the road by his attackers. X-rays taken later at Watford General Hospital revealed that the victim's skull had been fractured.
The suspects are a group of four Asian men, in their 20's, one of whom was wearing a black top and another a white top.
Investigating officer Detective Constable John Thorne said: "This was a vicious attack which has left the victim with serious head injuries. We would appeal for anybody who has any information on this incident, or believes they may know the attackers to contact us on 01923 472490."
