Surely a majority of local residents in the vicinity of Underhill will, like me, be opposed to the planning application which proposes to expand Barnet FC by the building of an additional new stadium to seat 10,000.
Underhill is at present a predominantly residential area with a small football club tucked away in one corner, which is the way it should be. The proposal would completely alter the character of Underhill.
In time there would be extra traffic, more problems with parking and congestion, and increased noise and disturbance due to bigger crowds, up to 10,000. At present they can barely muster 2,000 to watch a match.
