ANOTHER accomplished performance from Kelly Smith failed to bring England Ladies a deserved three points as they were held to a goalless draw in a World Cup qualifier against Holland at Blundell Park, Grimsby on Sunday, November 4.
Smith, 23, who recently completed her first season as a professional for Philadelphia Charge in the inaugural WUSA league, was a constant source of danger to a resilient Dutch side and looked the player most likely to break the deadlock.
After a defeat to Germany in the opening group match, England now face a tough task to qualify for the tournament in China in 2003 and require a good result in their next fixture, away to Portugal on Saturday, November 24.
