St Albans' hockey stars of the future had a chance to shine last week as a team of under 8s made the short trip to Eastcote to take part in a mini-tournament.
The event was a first for the club, with players of that age never having represented St Albans in a competitive match before.
However, the youngsters acquitted themselves well, winning three of their matches and losing only two.
Of the youngsters, Robert O' Dell starred with a hat-trick while brothers Thomas and Charlie Bowskill both played well.
