PEOPLE working within further education institutions and voluntary centres are being invited to comment on a strategy to ensure equal opportunities in post-16 learning and training throughout the county.

The draft by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) in Hertfordshire covers proposals and action plans for ensuring the fair and equal delivery of learning and training opportunities.

The strategy aims to be as inclusive as possible to ensure it benefits the whole community, which is the motivation behind the invitation.

Over the coming weeks, a series of consultation events will be held across the county, which will provide an opportunity to discuss the plan, and consider some key questions about it.

The Watford event takes place at the Multi Racial Community Centre in Durban Road from 6pm until 9.30pm on Thursday, November 29.

The event will include a presentation of the issues associated with increasing participation in learning, followed by discussion workshops and a feedback session.

If you would like to attend, contact Ms Sarah Kerr at the Learning and Skills Council Hertfordshire on 01727 733556.
