FORMER Hornet Glyn Hodges was in charge as caretaker boss for Barnsley on Saturday, November 3.
"We stuck at our task well in the first half. The crowd were a bit unsettled as well, and I said to the chaps if they can keep that up for 15 minutes into the second half, they will have ridden the storm. Then they conceded a goal after five minutes.
"It was an uphill battle. I am not sure the Watford first goal was offside. Our players are claiming it is offside, but I would like to see it again.
"The second goal, the fellah has had a shot, and he has chested and volleyed it in from the rebound with no one challenging. That was poor defending.
"We were then changing the system and trying to chase the game. They scored the third and it was too late for us do do anything about that.
"We were more than happy at half time because I didn't think Watford caused us many problems in the first half. We did well for 45 minutes and could not maintain it. I don't know if that is a matter of losing concentration or a matter of fitness."
