A SUCCESSION of fine performances between the posts has won goalkeeper Alec Chamberlain The Watford Observer Player of the Season Award.
The popular keeper, who didn't make his first appearance of the season until the end of October, is now being presented with his award on the Vicarage Road pitch by The Watford Observer's assistant editor Oliver Phillips.
Chamberlain, who beat Filippo Galli, Neil Cox and Paul Robinson to the award, has since gone on to make 35 successive starts for the first team, and during this campaign has recorded his 200th Hornets' first team appearances, as well as recording his 600th career league appearance and 700th in total.
The winner of the Young Player of the Season award, as chosen by the club's staff, is Anthony McNamee.
Sadly, though, his and Watford's season finished on a disappointing note, with a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Gillingham.
