Twickenham 207 Mill Hill Village 180-9
Ibex Middlesex League Cup
Mill Hill Village put up a good fight in the first round of the League Cup before succumbing to their more experienced opponents by 27 runs.
After winning the toss, Village reduced the home team to 147-7 thanks to some tight bowling from Wayne Hough and Andy Brazill.
However, J Cronje smashed 48 runs from just 26 balls to steer Twickenham to a total of 207, despite a five-wicket haul by Chris Williams.
In reply, Village made a solid start with debutante Niraj Jadav (54) and Andrew Fish (42) taking the score to 97-2. But with 111 required from the final 15 overs, wickets started to tumble and they ended on 180-9.
