Barnet 226-5 dec Hornsey 131-9
Middlesex County League Division Two
Barnet comprehensively outplayed leaders Hornsey on Saturday and were unlucky not to achieve their first league win of the season.
Baqar Rizvi (104) hit a magnificent century and Leon Roberts had a splendid spell with the ball, taking 5-40.
Rizvi is the first Barnet batsman to score a league century (off only 110 balls) in over two years.
Roberts and Sami Haider opened the way for what looked an easy victory as Hornsey crashed to 82-8, with 18 overs left, but the home side held on.
Barnet are home to Barnes on Saturday, and travel away to Fives and Heronians in the second round of the Evening Standard Trophy on Sunday.
