Brondesbury, knocked out of the National Cup by Richmond earlier in the month, were heading for defeat in this league clash on Saturday but fought back to force a well-deserved draw.
Put in on a rain-affected wicket, Richmond progressed comfortably to 248-5 dec off 57 overs.
Skipper Richard Barlow, their top scorer in the cup win with 86, was the highest contributor again with 84, backed by Ben Hutton (59).
Brondesbury soon lost Tommy Simpson, who hit a century against Richmond in the cup duel, and Will Sellar, another century-maker in the win over Stanmore in their previous league match.
Ed Joyce (31), who has produced some fine knocks for Middlesex and Nick Compton (27) fought back well before both fell in quick succession, swiftly followed by Ian Kidd Brondesbury were in trouble again at 80-5.
Avoiding defeat became their prime objective, and Matt Stein (48 no) and Mark Lowrey (26) were defiant in a stand of 70.
Brondesbury are home to Ealing, last season's champions, on Saturday and entertain Sudbury in the Evening Standard Trophy on Sunday.
