The streets of Radlett were given a spring cleaning by members of the Radlett Society over the Golden Jubilee weekend. Around 20 members of the society collected almost 50 bags of rubbish from the car parks behind Newberries Parade and Radlett railway station, from the station forecourts and from surrounding streets, woods and open areas. Rob Reith, from the society, said: "This was a highly successful operation that has greatly improved the appearance of parts of Radlett. The next step will be to bring pressure on the authorities, and on various landwoners, to keep Radlett clean."
