SPORTING opportunities at Potter Street Primary School, Harlow, have been given a boost thanks to a £5,000 Awards for All lottery scheme grant.
The money will help provide after school clubs and buy equipment for pupils and young people in the community.
The school hopes to establish basketball, football, rugby, cricket, tennis and netball clubs, and pay for coaches and teaching staff to run the sessions.
Head teacher Nila Jassal said: "We believe we're one of the first primary schools in Harlow to be successful. We're so pleased to be given such a large sum of money and it will allow us to help many local young people." Now we've got the money we're looking forward to providing some excellent fun sports sessions for all our young people."
