HEALTH initiatives developed in the maternity department at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, have been recognised in three national guides on good practice for mothers and midwives.
The guides are titled Home Birth Hand Book, Modernising Maternity Care, and Delivering Better Working Lives Together: Flexible Working and Childcare in Maternity Services.
The hospital's director of women's and children's services, Alice Holmes, said: "We're delighted to have gained a mention in three extremely prodigious publications which are read by midwives and mothers across the country.
"This is a terrific coup for the midwifery team."
