TUNED-ON teens breakdanced into the week when they attended a special arts event with Break DJ Leacy and ManFridea, run by Hertfordshire County Council last week.
More than 25 young people, aged 14 and upwards, tried their hand at break dancing , DJing and being MC.
Most of the teenagers, who come from all over Hertfordshire were either looked after by Hertfordshire County Council or have physical problems such as impaired sight or hearing.
The sessions are the latest in a successful series run by the professional company Theatre Resource as part of a programme of arts, creative writing and musical events organised by Children, Schools and Families service during school holidays.
During the final afternoon the young people came together to stage a performance using their new-found skills.
Executive member for Children, Schools and Families, Mr Robert Gordon said: "This is an exciting opportunity for vulnerable children and youngsters with disabilities to try out some really fun activities."
Arts education officer Ms Suzanne Rider said: "It's was fantastic. The young people produced some amazing work."
Sessions were held at the Mid Herts Centre for Music and Arts in Birchwood Avenue, Hatfield on Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6.
It has been funded by Hertfordshire Community Foundation and Hertfordshire Children, Schools and Families service.
