A VOLUNTEER from Croxley Green has been awarded for her long service to a cancer charity.
Mrs Ann Allen has been involved with Macmillan Cancer Relief for 19 years as a supporter, committee member and as president of the Watford and District branch of the charity.
To honour her services, she was presented with the Chairman's Medal at a rally in London last month.
Regional director for the charity Doctor Gareth Tuckwell said: "Ann has made a huge contribution to Macmillan over the years.
"With her enthusiasm and support the Watford and District Committee raised over £22,900 in 2001 to help people with cancer in the area.
"We are extremely grateful to Ann for her hard work and support."
