A group of children from a Radlett school were put through their paces during a recent four-day visit to an adventure training camp.
A party of 38 Year Four pupils from Fair Field School enjoyed activities such as quad biking, climbing, fencing and caving at Kingswood Camp in Staffordshire.
As well as taking part in outdoor pursuits, the children were able to learn new computer skills in the camp's information technology suite.
Fair Field School, in Watford Road, was praised for organising the trip, which was designed to encourage pupils to work as a team, in its recent OFSTED report.
Headteacher Doug Helsby said: "Kingswood is great fun for the children and they benefit from it enormously.
"I was particularly pleased with the feedback we got from the centre on how well the children behaved all in all it was a great success."
One of the most demanding activities came as blindfolded participants were directed through a series of tasks while hanging onto a rope.
