HARPENDEN's Mark Crowley narrowly missed out on selection for the British Commonwealth Games Squad after finishing fourth in the Pole Vault in the trials at the City of Manchester Stadium on Sunday.
Twenty-year-old Crowley jumped 2.14m, five cm short of the British Commonwealth standard.
However, he can console himself with a trip to Jamaica in July to take part in the Junior World Athletic Championships.
