GREENWOOD PARK Cricket Club maintained their unbeaten start to the Division Nine season against Old Owens second XI, but only after David Camm's men produced their now-customary batting collapse to provide a nervous finale.
Chasing Owens' 155, Mel Baker (79) and Peter Camm (30) were in complete control as they put up an opening stand of 119.
Baker was in a particularly aggressive mood scoring his runs all around the ground while Camm steadily compiled his innings at the other end.
Camm was the first to go but Baker looked certain to see Park home before playing on. The batting collapse ensued as Park sunk to 129-6 before Nick Skinner (13 not out) and Steve James (9 not out) steadied the ship and ensured victory.
Earlier, David Fullbrook (3-28) took early wickets to put Owens on the back foot and then Steve James took 2-27 as the home side failed to dominate the Greenwood bowling and set them a more testing total.
