LOOKING good - that was the verdict on the St Albans and Harpenden Observers in the Newsquest Editorial Awards.
The paper was declared runner-up in the paid-for weekly newspaper category of the awards recently held at Stratford-upon-Avon.
Newsquest Media Group publishes more than 300 free and paid-for titles around the country.
Judges cited the stylish layout of the Observer as an important factor in delivering a comprehensive weekly package of news, sport and features.
Editor Deborah Williams said: "I am delighted that the newspaper has been recognised in this way. It is testament to the hard work of our dedicated team of reporters, photographers and sub-editors who strive to bring readers all the district's news every week."
