On Saturday, June 1, 15 Open University graduates from St Albans gathered for a special ceremony at Ely cathedral where they celebrated receiving their degrees.
Mrs Louise Heppell of Kingsbury Avenue, St. Albans, has managed to achieve her BSc (honours), despite re-marrying, changes in career and suffering with ME.
Mr Charles Kitson, St. Albans, has managed to gain his MSc (CCI) whilst suffering with cancer and heart problems. Mrs Anne Lengyel, Lattimore Road, St Albans, has been awarded with BSc (honours) in Social Sciences while being a full time mother.
