A-LEVEL economics and business students of a secondary school in Kings Langley have won a place in the finals of a national business challenge.
Slammin FM team Natalie Gray, Mahmood Riaz, Kimberley Ryan and Matthew Stokes of Kings Langley school in Love Lane, Kings Langley, successfully fought off stiff competition from ten teams representing schools throughout England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland, in the ACCA Business Challenge 2002.
The finalists were required to participate in a business simulation based around a radio station for which they were asked to develop a financial strategy and, by making decisions over several rounds compete to run the most profitable station.
The Slammin FM team will be accompanied to the final held in London on Tuesday, July 9 by business and economics teacher, Ms Helen Yates, who has high hopes for the pupils' success in the final and their AS results in August.
