A FUNERAL home in South Oxhey has been targeted by thugs.
The Co-operative Funeral Service in St Andrews Road was vandalised in the early hours of Wednesday, June 19, when offenders smashed one window pane and cracked three others.
Mr James Stenson, manager of the Watford branch, which covers the South Oxhey home, said: "I know that these sort of incidents are a daily occurrence in today's society, but the fact that a funeral directors' premises should be targeted shows just how low these individuals will go.
"It's just the fact that someone could do that to a funeral home where someone's loved ones are resting."
He added: "I have been employed here for 18 years and we have never encountered anything like that. We have never had an attack on our premises before.
"I know these things happen every day but because of the nature of our business it's particularly insensitive."
There were no witnesses to the attack.
