ST ALBANS CITY FC kick off their new season with a friendly against Watford FC at Clarence Park on Saturday, July 13, although fans might get a lot more than they bargained for, with a former WWF wrestling favourite headlining the pre-match entertainment.
Jake 'the Snake' Roberts, along with pet snake Damien, will be giving a demonstration of skills, as well as meeting the fans, before the match.
Watford Girls and St Albans Girls will be competing for the Safeway Challenge Trophy to be presented by the English Champions Arsenal Ladies FC while you could also pick up a state of the art home cinema system in the half-time draw.
Win or lose, fans then then continue the party on into the night with live music from Whatever's Clever in the Clarence Park clubhouse.
For tickets and more information about the game, telephone the club on 01727 864296.
