The Borehamwood Centre of the British Red Cross will hold an open day of gardens on Sunday, July 14.
The eight gardens, in Borehamwood and Elstree, will be open from 2pm to 6pm, and admission will be £3.50, free for children, which includes all the gardens. The money will go to the British Red Cross, which: carries out first-aid duties in the community, sends money abroad to disaster zones, organises lunch clubs for elderly people and lends people wheelchairs and other medical equipment.
The gardens are in Elstree: Barham Avenue, number 2, where there will be tea and music, 9, which will have a children's play area, and 29; 22 Grange Road, and Penniwells House in Edgwarebury Lane, and in Borehamwood: 15 Winstre Road and Spring Close's 32 and 34.
