Toddlers showed they too can complete marathons, by taking part in a Toddlerthon at Radlett's Phillimore Recreation Ground on Sunday to raise money for children's charity Barnardo's.
A total of 15 toddlers took part in the Toddlerthon, organised by Radlett's Playhouse Nursery.
The toddlers, as young as six-months-old, completed four laps of the Gills Hill Lane recreation ground, totalling half-a-mile, by either toddling themselves, being wheeled in push-chairs or being carried.
Jessica Breakwell, who owns the pre-school nursery in Station Road, said: "They were really sweet. We had been practising marching all week at the nursery, and they all started marching to their toddler songs. It was good fun."
The marathon-for-toddlers was followed by a teddy bears' picnic, whereby teddies which had been used to line the route joined the children for cake and sweets.
The nursery has to collect sponsorship money before it knows how much was raised for Barnardo's.
