A heroic 95-run partnership between Kunal Amin and Nick Lee secured victory for Radlett U15s at the weekend.
The partnership helped Radlett to overcome Leverstock's challenging total of 102 in the final 20 overs.
Leverstock's score was achieved largely through Yasser's 69, and, at one time, the side looked likely to post an even higher total. But accurate bowling from leg spinners Ashley Tillett and Mark Gray restricted the score.
Radlett's reply started badly, and the hosts were on 5-2 at the end of the fifth over. Contolled hitting from Amin and Lee saw Radlett home with more than two overs to spare.
Amin has regularly scored runs, but this was Lee's first-ever 50 and it featured some superb strokeplay, including a massive straight six, and 16 runs in another over.
The U15s season has improved recently. The boys have won four and lost three games.
Manager Andrew Gray said: "I have been delighted with both Nick's fine contribution and the progress all the boys have made this season, which is in no small way owing to the enthusiasm and guidance provided in coaching by former Test star David Houghton."
