An appeal has been made to a Government planning inspector against Hertsmere Borough Council's decision not to allow the erection of entrance gates and railings to the front of 38 The Avenue, Radlett. The council refused permission on the grounds that the railings would be too dominant and out of character with the area, and would spoil the street scene.
