SPORTS, fun and games are on the cards Saturday, July 6, at a sports day at BT Ignite's new offices at Leavesden Park.

The event will be the seventh annual BT Ignite sport and fun day but it will be held for the first time at the company's new offices in Hercules Way, Leavesden.

As well as the usual fun and games for families of employees, the company is viewing the event as preparation for the office move later in the month.

The firm is one of the first to take up residence in the new BT complex on the site of the former Leavesden Aerodrome.

Taking place from noon until 7pm, the sports day usually attracts more than 1,000 people and is the biggest participation event in the BT Ignite calendar.

The event is also a fundraiser with last year's day raising £1,600 for the Lowe Syndrome Trust an incurable genetic condition affecting men and boys which causes physical and mental disabilities.

The Lowe Syndrome Trust will again be the beneficiary of money raised by the event.
