Mayor's thanks

I would like you, through your letters column, to thank all the schools who took part in the Schools Performing Arts Show at Hertswood School on Friday afternoon, especially all the people who put this show together. Thank you also to John Cooper, the compere, who has done a marvellous job over the years in presenting this event. I would also like to wish him, on behalf of the town council, a very happy retirement.
