Borehamwood Bowls Club's ladies won an exciting away league match 19-18 against Tring on Wednesday last week.
The victorious team was Doris Edwards, Kay Stoker and Betty Tranter, led by Margaret Moseley.
On Saturday the men entertained Mill End, but all three rinks went down. Two lost narrowly by three shots, but the third rink was heavily defeated and Mill End ran out convincing winners by 77-43.
In the Herts County top ten competition Borehamwood beat Harperbury comfortably. Arthur Moseley in the singles, Alf Dickens, Ron Price and Tom Barker in the triples, and Arthur Mir, Neville Simons and Norman Harrison, led by Roy Edwards in the fours rink, all won, whilst Colin Williams and Ken Sharp narrowly failed in the pairs.
