HARLOW Basketball Club's Adam Coates will be hoping to net a call up to the England U14 Squad by impressing selectors when he represents the eastern region in a national tournament to be held at Lilleshall.

Adam has been playing for Harlow for a year and has already successfully completed trials at Essex County level prior to his selection for Eastern Region.

Talking of the youngster's achievements Harlow head coach Dave Girling said: "Adam epitomises everything needed in a basketball player at his age, a willingness to learn and great dedication.

"When you consider Adam has only had formal coaching with us for 12 months he has shown exceptional progress and deserves this wonderful opportunity."

Eastern Region Coach Steve Robbins added: "Adam shone at the trials, his skill level was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of fundamentals."
