IN five days' time, pupils of the Westfield Community College will be bringing together all the nationalities represented in the school over a period of two days to celebrate their cultural diversity.
The school, situated in Tolpits lane, West Watford has organised a two day event, with the "Our World Celbration" due to take place on the evening of Tuesday 9th July. It has been organised by the Westfield Family Association which was relaunched three years ago with the primary goal to develop and facilitate the relationship betwen family and the school.

The Celebration evening will commence at 6.30pm, presenting a diverse array of food from around the world. Those attending the function are encouraged to come in their cultural dress and participate in the festivities.
Students will be involved in various activities over the two days, including researching and creating a brochure for the Watford Council about a programme of events to celebrate diversity. A presentation of thier work will be on show at the Celebration along with performances of multi-cultural singing and dancing exhibitions from the students.
This is a major social event of the year for the school and local community.
Many people have beeen invited and it is hoped that good attendance by parents, staff, governers, family and members of the local community will enable the event to be a great success.
