CHILDREN from Bovingdon Primary School will experience what it is like to walk through a rainforest next week at the Dacorum Borough Council's Environment Fair school's day.
The youngsters will get to experience the sights and sounds of exotic birds in what is described as a walk-through rainforest at the event on Monday, July 15 at Gadebridge Park, Hemel Hempstead.
The education-based schools day follows on from the fair the day before, with 95 children from Bovingdon Primary School joining 1400 children for the event aimed at raising environmental awareness.
The Seventh Annual Fair on Sunday, July 14, from noon until 6pm is open to the public as part of Carnival 2002 with Clown Bert and Professor Kayoss as two of the attractions to entertain the crowd.
There will be face painting, jugglers and musicians.
The children will get an insight into the serious side to the fair, which is to make everyone aware of the small but significant things that can be done to preserve the planet.
