THREE local schools took centre stage at the Alban Arena in St Albans yesterday (Tuesday) for the annual Rock Challenge.
Presenting routines on subjects ranging from teenage pregnancy to modern day love, Francis Combe School and Community College, Kings Langley School and Rickmansworth School competed in the event.
Pupils from Francis Combe and Community College, Horseshoe Lane, Garston, took home second prize on Tuesday night.
Kings Langley School, in Love Lane, Kings Langley, finished third, with a performance with the theme "Vindaloo and Chips" a journey of young love travelling through a minefield of two cultures in a modern society.
Rickmansworth School in Scots Hill won a special student leadership award.
