CHILDREN at Northwood Preparatory School will meet one of their favourite authors, Jeremy Strong, on Thursday.
The award winning writer, who has penned numerous bestselling stories including The Hundred Mile, An Hour Dog and Lightning Lucy, will visit the school in Rickmansworth to give a book reading and signing.
His visit has been organised as part of the school's literary festival, which will be running all week.
Suzanne Smith, learning resources manager at the school who organised the literary festival, said: "The festival is back by popular demand because it was so successful when we had the first one last year.
All week the four to 13-year-olds will be able to browse a book fair and cake sale in the junior school hall.
