SHOPKEEPERS in Moor Park say they are losing business because of "lax policing" of parking laws.
Seven storeowners in Main Avenue are calling on Three Rivers District Council to do more to tackle the issue.
They have signed a petition asking that traffic wardens patrol the area more regularly.
Mukund Sangvhi runs the pharmacy in the parade and is hopeful that the council will take note of the petition and increase policing in the area.
Cars are permitted to park outside the shop for 75 minutes at a time, but Mr Sangvhi said motorists regularly flout these regulations.
He said: "Over the past year the situation has become increasingly worse.
"People park outside the shops for hours at a time, and those spaces are supposed to be for customers.
"We are all losing business because people think if they can't park outside these shops, they will go to a different shop instead."
