SARACENS' head coach Steve Diamond will give late fitness tests to Hugh Vyvyan, Thomas Castaignede and Kyran Bracken before naming his side for Sunday's (January 23) Powergen Cup quarter-final with London Irish at Vicarage Road.
Vyvyan, the England number eight, has missed the last four games with an ankle injury sustained in the last round against his former club Newcastle Falcons and, although he joined up with England for the three day training camp this week, he is still not 100 per cent.
However, with Simon Raiwalui ruled out this week for a month after sustaining a knee inury against Brive, Vyvyan may be pressed into partnering Iain Fullarton at lock.
Castaignede, who ahs made just 70 appearances for the Men in Black since signing from Toulouse five years ago, missed the two-legged Quarter-Final with Brive with a calf-problem that has precluded his involvement in the last two matches.
Former French captain Raphael Ibanez could also come into contention after recovering from minor knee surgery.
