TEENAGERS can learn more about personal safety at a series of new courses organised by Three Rivers District Council.
A six-week Tae Kwon-Do course, open to boys and girls, will kick off on Tuesday at The Centre, Gosforth Lane, South Oxhey.
The classes will then run on Tuesday nights at a cost of 50p per session.
Meanwhile, issues such as weapons, body language and verbal communication will be covered in a Bash and Dash course open to girls aged 14 to 19. A taster session will be held on Tuesday, followed by a two day personal safety course on Saturday, March 19, and Saturday, March 26. The cost is £4 For creative types, an art course will run on Tuesday, February 1, and Tuesday, February 8, in which girls will design and make wallet-sized personal safety cards. These will be distributed to youth groups and teenagers in South Oxhey.
Each of these sessions costs £1 and is open to teenage girls aged 14 to 19 years.
