Herts Air Ambulance is always on the lookout for new Volunteers to help raise funds for the County's life-saving helicopter as without their hard work and support we simply could not continue this vital service. The Herts Air Ambulance fundraising team are running a recruitment drive week commencing 22 February 2010; visiting various centres across the county to sign people up. The dates and venues are as follows:
• Monday 22nd February – Howard Centre, Welwyn Garden City
• Wednesday 24th February – Harlequin Centre, Watford
• Thursday 25th February – Galleria, Hatfield
• Friday 26th February – Jackson Square, Bishop’s Stortford
Nikki Caborn, Herts Coordinator said, “The demand for the fundraising team to attend events across the county is ever increasing and we really need to recruit as many volunteers as possible before the start of the busy summer season. Our volunteer opportunities are open to anyone in the community and to people of all ages and experience so if you are interested and are in the area please come down and speak to us. We are extremely grateful for the presence of committed volunteers who are our ambassadors for the charity; generously giving their valuable time and expertise, without which we simply could not fly!”
We particularly need help in the following areas:
• Managing merchandise stands at events
• Fundraising Tin Collections
• Public speaking
• Cheque presentations
• Special Projects (Use your particular skills and experience to help the Charity)
