Chinese cultural activities are in store for Watford residents as Watford Borough Council has organised a series of free workshops to celebrate World Community Arts Day on Wednesday, February 17.
Join in with some fun, Chinese-themed sessions, which kick off in Charter Place at 1pm with Chinese craft workshops. Then from 2pm to 4pm at Watford Central Library, there is the opportunity to make a lantern from material supplied by Watford Recycling Arts Project.
Round off the day at a display of all the lanterns beside the pond from 5pm to 6pm, accompanied by Chinese dance and music. The council is also running nature conservation events on Saturdays and Tuesdays, plus a range of sporting activities in local parks. Details: 01923 278333, community@watford.gov.uk
