Herts Air Ambulance is delighted to announce the launch of its very first ‘Rotor Run’ taking place on Sunday 27th September 2009 at Fairlands Valley Park, Stevenage to help raise all important funds for the life-saving helicopter. The event opens at 11am and the run starts from 12 noon.
The Charity is looking forward to a fun day, suitable for all the family and is calling on all runners to take part in a 5k fun Rotor Run and mums and toddlers to take part in an easy Rotor Roam around the lake! There will be plenty of family entertainment on the day with attractions such as a climbing wall, face painting, bouncy castles … and much more!
Nikki Caborn, Herts Coordinator said, “This is the first time we have held a Rotor Run and we are really looking forward to it. We are hoping that people of all ages and abilities will get involved in what will be a fantastic way to support the life-saving air ambulance! We are very grateful to Stevenage Leisure Park the main sponsors and Hertbeat FM, Roche and Fairlands Valley Spartans for kindly supporting the event, without which the Rotor Run would not have got off the ground.”
If you wish to take part, the registration fee is £7 per person for the Rotor Run, (£5 for members of affiliated running clubs) and £5 for 1 adult and up to 3 children for the Rotor Roam. All participants will receive a registration pack with a free t-shirt and a Rotor Run hat for the children.
