'I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out OF Here!' contestants were offered the chance to win the former Dollar star a sweet treat for his birthday by answering questions about themselves.
If they answered correctly the cake, which was suspended above their heads, moved closer towards them but if they were wrong the cake exploded.
Joe Swash and Martina Navratilova successfully answered questions about themselves but when former police chief Brian Paddick was asked according to the 2008 Pink list, who was the most influential gay or lesbian in Britain, himself or Samantha Fox, he incorrectly answered himself.
As the cake exploded he moaned: "I had this feeling in the back of mind that it was Samantha Fox but the almost unanimous view of my colleagues was surely I must be the more influential than Samantha Fox."
However, all was not lost when Simon Webbe uncovered a piece of the ruined cake which had landed on a bag. He handed it to the birthday boy, who immediately ate it.
Later, the evening was spoiled when a vicious row about who would take evicted contestant Dani Behr's bed broke out.
As soon as she left the camp the group began bickering over who would take her place, especially when David - who had previously angered camp mates by trying to take evicted star Robert Kilroy-Silk's bunk - admitted he though he should have it.
He announced: "Well, I've had a c****y time so I could go on the bus."
Although the other immediately rejected his suggestion, he continued: "I've been lying on the floor for 10 days, why shouldn't I move in the bus."
Carly snapped: "David if anyone's uncomfortable whenever and they want to sleep on there the next night."
