Torrential rain brought flooding chaos to roads across the area today.
Drivers battled flash floods in Rickmansworth, Watford, Croxley Green and Chorleywood as major and minor routes were deluged by rain.
The winding country lanes of Sarratt, Chandlers Cross, and Bucks Hill were among the hardest hit.
In Bottom Lane, near Bucks Hill, motorists were faced with drifts of up to two feet when a large pool of water gathered at the bottom of a dip in the road.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, however, has not reported any serious incidents.
