FIVE youngsters rushed to hospital after being involved in a high-speed crash in the early hours of Saturday morning have been discharged.
The casualties had to be freed by firefighters when the car they were travelling in hit a roundabout in Watford Road, Kings Langley, forcing it off the road and into a nearby garden.
A male driver and four passengers -two males and two females - became trapped inside the Vauxhall Vectra as a result of their injuries.
Crews from Garston and Hemel Hempstead and retained firefighters from Kings Langley arrived at the scene to find the car embedded in bushes and hedgerow in a nearby garden with its passengers unable to move.
All five were taken to Watford General Hospital. Four were released later that morning and one male, who suffered head injuries was kept in for observation. He has since been released.
It is thought the car hit the roundabout just off the High Street at such speed that it was forced off the road. It is believed police had spotted the speeding car just moments before the accident happened.
