Festive cheer will fill Watford high street, when the annual Christmas lights ceremony takes place.
The event, on Thursday, November 6, starts at 6pm when Jeff Brazier introduces a number of special guests, including Watford's X Factor star Amy Connelly, children's TV characters Dora the Explorer and Diego, and a host of Watford FC players.
The cast of Watford Palace Theatre's Christmas pantomime, Dick Whittington and his Cat, will entertain the crowd while music will be provided by The Harlequin's Centre Stage competition winners Underview.
Once the lights are turned on, there will also be a firework display above the High Street.
Dora the Explorer and Diego will make some earlier appearances at The Harlequin’s Jungle playgroup. Children can meet them at 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Queens car park level one. Tickets are available from Customer Services from today (Friday) but numbers are limited.
Stars from the night will also be signing autographs and posing for photographs after the light switch on from 7:30pm in Ponti’s Ristorante on the Lower Mall.
