Sarratt Post Office underwent a temporary face lift this week as it starred in a hit BBC murder mystery drama.
The Post Office, on the Green, was transported to the fictional village of Morbury for an episode of the award-winning Waking the Dead, scheduled to air in March.
The series, starring Trevor Eve and Sue Johnston, features the Met police’s Cold Cases Unit - set up to investigate old cases with state-of-the-art DNA technology.
And despite heavy snow storms on Tuesday night film crews continues to let the cameras roll.
Post mistress Pat Regan said: “It’s not actually that unusual, they have filmed a lot of things around the village over the years as well as a few films. In this case they were filming a young lad flocking through magazines in the shop.”
Further details of the script, however, remain a closely guarded secret.
