PEPPA PIG brought children in their hundreds to the Harlequin yesterday afternoon.
Staff said it was the busiest they had ever seen the shopping centre, adding it was like having a pop star visit.
Shoppers were met with screams and chants of ‘Peppa Pig’ when the children’s cartoon character took centre stage with her brother George.
Children queued to have their picture taken with the well-loved characters, with 11 fans patiently waiting an hour early to ensure being front of the queue.
Four lucky children even shared a tea party with the pair after winning a competition in the WATFORD OBSERVER.
Winner Mia, who was at the tea party with her brother Mickey, said: “I love Peppa Pig, I watch her everyday.
“I really like the tea party and she was really nice to me.
“She’s my favourite and I wish she went to my school.”
Staff estimated thousands of parents and children queued between 10am and 3.30pm yesterday.
