PARTICIPANTS young and old will do battle for the title of Rickmansworth Conkers Champion today(Saturday).
Visitors to the Rose and Crown, in Harefield Road, will vie for the pub’s prestigious Golden Conker trophy when battle begins at 3pm.
The event will raise money for the Michael Sobell House Hospice.
Entry costs £1 per person, with a further £1 charged if you don’t have your own conker. Entries must be received by 2pm.
Landlord Mark Douglas said: “It’s a fantastic game that we hope will raise a decent amount of money for a very good cause.”
