Temporary traffic lights in Hempstead Road, Watford, were taken down last night, following the completion of essential gas mains replacement works.
Gas pipeline company National Grid and contractors, Morrison Utility Services, finished the five-week project to upgrade nearly 400 metres of gas mains in Hempstead Road and Grove Mill Lane within their targeted completion date of the end of this week.
Grove Mill Lane, which has been closed to through traffic, with residents’ access only, is due to be fully reopened later today, following final reinstatement works.
