A man from South Oxhey has died in hospital after losing a nine day fight for life.
The 35-year-old, who has not yet been named, was critically injured in a crash in Northwood on Sunday, October 12.
Police say the car he was travelling in careered into the garden wall of a house in Joel Street, after apparently losing control as it went round a bend at around 3.40am.
The black Volkswagen Golf is believed to have hit the kerb at the junction with Norwich Road, before rolling over on to the brick wall.
Two other men were in the car at the time of the crash. One remains in a serious condition in hospital while another has been discharged.
Doctors fought for several days to save the driver, but he was declared dead on Tuesday at the Royal London Hospital.
A post mortem was due to take place this week.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to come forward, and urged anyone with information to contact the Alperton Collision Investigation Unit on 0208 998 5319.
